Parents Night at the Leper Colony
Here Comes the Flood
(The Netherlands)

Detroit punk jazz vaudeville, an AOR ballad, a few hard core scream-offs. All this and more can be found on Parents Night At The Leper Colony, a compilation of the output by the Leisure Class. Recorded between 1982 and 1994 these songs are the missing link between the Dead Kennedys, Frank Zappa and The Tubes. Singer Dimitri Mugianis and drummer Glenn Johnson are the constants in an ever changing line-up - the credits lists dozens of players and guests.

Decidedly not [for] everyone, this an album that will make you laugh out loud. Born again Christians and other zealots will cry wolf when they are confronted with the lyrics of Jesus: "Jesus Almost Love Me / But He Missed". The cynical Weekend Punk and Young Gifted and White will raise some eyebrows among head scratching among the Blink 182 and Limp Bizkit audience. Hell, they might actually start using their brains.

Leisure Class have kept a high musical standard throughout this collection, proving that you can still be punk when you break out off the "A, D and G - Now start A Band" mantra.

Parents Night At The Leper Colony is a self-released album. Buy it from the band's website.
